Rebirth in My Fishing Brainrots resets your cash but gives permanent multipliers that stack with every other bonus in the game. Each rebirth level requires specific cash amounts and brainrots. The multipliers compound, so a player with 5 rebirths earns 1.5x what a player with 0 rebirths earns from the same setup.

What Rebirth Does
When you rebirth:
You lose:
- All cash
- Some upgrades reset
You keep:
- All brainrots
- Fish Index progress
- Fishing spots (and gain more)
- Previously unlocked features
The permanent cash multiplier applies to everything. A 10% bonus from Rebirth 0 means every fish sells for 10% more forever.

Each 10% bonus stacks additively. After Rebirth 5, you have a permanent +60% cash multiplier.
How to Rebirth
- Meet the cash requirement
- Have the required brainrot in your collection
- Tap the Rebirth button (right side of screen, below Shop)
- Green checkmarks appear when requirements are met
- Tap the green Rebirth button at the bottom
The required brainrot stays in your collection after rebirth. You don't lose it.
Rebirth 4: The Big One
Rebirth 4 is the most important milestone. It unlocks:
Prestige - A secondary progression system with its own rewards
Incubator Machine - Costs 5,000 Prestige Tokens after unlocking. Lets you hatch eggs faster and with better odds.
Rush to Rebirth 4 before worrying about optimization. The Incubator alone is worth the grind.
When to Rebirth
Rebirth immediately when:
- You meet the requirements
- Progress has slowed to a crawl
- You're stuck waiting for rare eggs
Wait to rebirth when:
- You're 2-3 fish away from a Fish Index milestone
- You just hatched a high-tier brainrot you haven't upgraded
- An Admin Abuse event is coming soon
Fish Index bonuses are permanent and stack with rebirth bonuses. Hitting 50 fish types (+50% cash) before rebirthing means that bonus applies to your post-rebirth earnings too.

Rebirth bonuses multiply with Fish Index bonuses:

A player with Rebirth 5 and full Fish Index earns 3.2x what a new player earns from identical brainrots.
Getting Required Brainrots
The hardest part of rebirth is getting the required brainrot. Some tips:
Rare/Epic (Rebirth 0-1): Buy eggs when they spawn on the conveyor. These appear frequently.
Legendary (Rebirth 2-3): Save cash for Legendary eggs. They spawn every 15-20 minutes with upgraded conveyors.
Mythic (Rebirth 4-6): Mythic eggs are expensive and rare. Focus on upgrading your conveyor to reduce spawn timers.
Secret/Exotic/OG (Rebirth 7+): These require serious grinding or crafting. The Crafting Machine can guarantee some of these.
Prestige System (After Rebirth 4)
Prestige is a secondary currency earned after Rebirth 4. You earn Prestige Tokens by:
- Selling fish (small amounts)
- Completing challenges
- Special events
Spend Prestige Tokens on:
- Incubator Machine (5,000 tokens) - Faster hatching, better odds
- Prestige upgrades - Various bonuses
The Incubator is the priority. Save 5,000 tokens before buying anything else.
Common Rebirth Mistakes
Rebirthing at 48 fish types - Wait for 50. The +25% bonus is permanent.
Ignoring the required brainrot - Check what brainrot you need and start saving for those eggs early.
Rushing past Rebirth 4 - Spend time with Prestige and the Incubator before pushing to Rebirth 5.
Rebirthing during Admin Abuse - Wait until after the event. Disco mutations are too valuable to miss.
Rebirth Strategy by Phase
Early Game (Rebirth 0-2)
Focus on filling fishing spots and building your Fish Index. Don't stress about optimization. Just rebirth when you meet requirements.
Mid Game (Rebirth 3-5)
Slow down. Get the Incubator from Rebirth 4. Build your Fish Index to at least 50 types. Start collecting mutations.
Late Game (Rebirth 6+)
The grind gets real. You need Secret, Exotic, and OG brainrots. Use the Crafting Machine for guaranteed high-tier brainrots. Stack mutations on your best units.
