Knockout Guide

Knockout is a prediction-based penguin brawler where 12 players slide around on ice trying to knock each other off. Unlike most Roblox fighting games, skill matters more than luck here. You're predicting where opponents will go, not mashing buttons.

How the Game Works

Each round follows the same pattern:

  1. All penguins spawn on a square ice arena
  2. You get a few seconds to secretly aim an arrow
  3. When the timer ends, everyone's arrows reveal
  4. All penguins launch simultaneously in their chosen direction
  5. Collisions send penguins flying based on impact angle
  6. Fall off the edge and you're eliminated
  7. Arena shrinks after each round
  8. Last penguin standing wins

The entire match takes 2-3 minutes. Quick rounds mean you can grind wins fast.

Prediction Mechanics

This is where Knockout differs from other games. You're not reacting to opponents. You're guessing where they'll be.

During the aiming phase:

  • Your arrow is hidden from other players
  • You can see everyone's position but not their aim
  • The arrow determines your launch direction and power
  • Longer arrows mean stronger pushes

The skill is reading player behavior. Most players aim toward the center early game. Edge players often aim inward to avoid falling. Use these patterns against them.

Arena Shrinking

The ice platform shrinks after each round. This forces confrontation and punishes passive play.

Early rounds have plenty of space to dodge. By round 5-6, the arena is small enough that collisions are unavoidable. Strong players position themselves in the center and let others fall off the edges.

The shrinking is predictable. Watch the ice edges for cracks before they break off.

Currencies Explained

Knockout has two currencies:

Ice is earned from:

  • Winning matches (most Ice)
  • Getting knockouts
  • Daily login bonuses
  • Redeeming codes

Use Ice to buy skins directly from the shop. No gambling required.

Spins roll the egg gacha for random skins. Spins are rarer than Ice and come mainly from codes and special events.

If you hate gacha, just save Ice and buy what you want. The shop rotates skins regularly.

Skins and Cosmetics

Skins are purely cosmetic. A rare skin doesn't hit harder or move faster. They just look cool.

Skins come from:

  • Direct purchase with Ice
  • Egg rolls using Spins
  • Limited event drops
  • Code rewards

The egg system has rarity tiers. Common skins drop frequently while Legendary skins are rare. Check our Skins Guide for the full list.

Winning Strategy

After dozens of matches, here's what works:

Early game: Aim toward the center. Edge spawns are dangerous because one bad collision sends you off. Get to the middle where you have escape routes in all directions.

Mid game: Watch player patterns. Most people aim the same direction repeatedly. If someone keeps aiming left, position yourself to intercept or avoid them.

Late game: The shrinking arena forces fights. Position yourself so collisions push opponents toward edges, not you. Being in the center with your back to nothing is ideal.

General tips:

  • Don't aim at the strongest player early. Let others weaken them.
  • Edge players are easy targets. Aim to push them off.
  • Unpredictability wins. Change your patterns each round.

Controls

Knockout controls are simple:

  • Mouse aims your arrow direction
  • Click/Hold sets arrow power (longer = stronger)
  • Release locks in your choice before the timer

On mobile, drag to aim and release to confirm. The touch controls work well for a prediction game since you're not doing real-time combat.

Badges

Knockout has 3 badges:

Badge Requirement
First Steps Play your first match
First Blood Get your first knockout
Champion Win a match

Badges are easy to earn. You'll probably get all three in your first session.

Tips for New Players

  1. Start with center positioning. Edge spawns are death traps until you learn the physics.

  2. Watch replays mentally. After each round, think about what you could have aimed differently.

  3. Don't chase kills early. Let the arena shrink and force fights naturally.

  4. Save Ice for skins you actually want. The shop rotates, so wait for something good.

  5. Redeem codes immediately. They expire fast. Check our Codes page for the current list.

Common Mistakes

Aiming at the nearest player: They're probably aiming at you too. Mutual collisions often send both players flying unpredictably.

Staying on edges: One bad collision and you're gone. The center is safer.

Predictable patterns: If you always aim the same direction, good players will exploit it.

Ignoring the shrink: The arena gets small fast. Don't get caught on a section that's about to break.
