Secret fish are the rarest catches in Fish It with odds ranging from 1 in 500,000 to 1 in 5,000,000. The Leviathan took me 3 weeks of grinding. You need maximum luck, the right rod, and patience. Most importantly, you need to fish in the exact right spot.

- Advanced Diving Gear (1M coins from Pirate Cove)
- Ghostfinn Rod or Element Rod
- Aether Bait or Aetherion Bait
- Leprechaun II enchant
How to reach Leviathan Den:
- Go to Pirate Cove
- Buy Advanced Diving Gear from the dock
- Equip the gear and dive into the lake
- Find the entrance to Crystal Depths
- Navigate to the Leviathan Den sub-area
The Leviathan sells for 2M+ coins and completes a major achievement. I spent 3 weeks fishing here before catching mine.
How to Catch the Cursed Kraken
The Cursed Kraken spawns in Crystal Depths with 1 in 3,500,000 odds. It's slightly easier than the Leviathan but still brutal.
Requirements:
- Advanced Diving Gear
- Ghostfinn Rod minimum
- Aether Bait
- Leprechaun II or Mutation Hunter II enchant
Strategy: Fish anywhere in Crystal Depths. The Kraken can spawn in any water body within the area. Use Luck Potions from codes to boost your odds during grinding sessions.
How to Catch the Sacred Guardian Squid
This secret fish spawns in the Sacred Temple on Ancient Jungle island. The odds are 1 in 1,000,000, making it one of the "easier" secrets.
Requirements:
- Astral Rod or better
- Dark Matter Bait minimum
- Any luck enchant
How to reach Sacred Temple:
- Go to Ancient Jungle
- Find the four levers around the island
- Pull all four levers to unlock the temple
- Fish inside the temple waters
The temple has a slightly higher mythic spawn rate too, so you'll make good money while hunting.
Best Gear for Secret Fish
Rod: Ghostfinn Rod or Element Rod. The 610%+ luck is essential for 1-in-millions odds.
Bait: Aether Bait or Aetherion Bait. The +240% luck stacks with your rod.
Enchant: Leprechaun II (+50% luck). Every percentage point matters at these odds.
Potions: Stack Luck Potions from codes. Use them during dedicated grinding sessions.
With optimal gear, your effective luck can exceed 1500%. That turns 1 in 5,000,000 into roughly 1 in 3,300,000. Still brutal, but better.

The money is nice, but the real reward is the achievement and index completion.
Why You Need the Ghostfinn Rod
Regular rods can't catch most secret fish. The game checks your rod's luck stat before spawning secrets. Below a certain threshold, secrets simply don't appear.
Ghostfinn Rod stats:
- 610% Luck
- 45% Speed
- 500,000kg Weight
The Element Rod is better (1111% luck), but Ghostfinn is obtainable earlier through the Deep Sea Quest at Lost Isle.
Common Secret Fish Mistakes
Using weak rods Steampunk Rod can technically catch Ghost Shark, but the odds are terrible. Use Ghostfinn minimum.
Fishing in the wrong spot Each secret fish has a specific location. The Leviathan only spawns in Leviathan Den, not general Crystal Depths.
Wasting potions Don't use Luck Potions for regular fishing. Save them for dedicated secret fish sessions.
Giving up too early Secret fish take millions of casts. If you're not prepared for weeks of grinding, focus on other content first.
