Fish It Quests Guide

Fish It quests unlock the best rods in the game. The Element Rod (1111% luck) requires completing the Elemental Quest. The Ghostfinn Rod (610% luck) comes from the Deep Sea Quest. Both took me 8+ hours each. Here's how to complete them efficiently.

The Lava Rod quest is free and instant. Do it immediately when you reach Kohana.

How to Get the Element Rod

The Element Rod is the best rod in Fish It with 1111% luck, 130% speed, and 900,000kg weight. It requires completing the Elemental Quest at Ancient Jungle.

Prerequisites:

• Ghostfinn Rod (from Deep Sea Quest)
• Diving Gear (750K coins)
• Aether Bait recommended

Quest Steps:

1. Travel to Ancient Jungle Buy a boat from Stingray Shores dock if you haven't already.

2. Find the Underground Cellar Look for the hidden entrance near the temple ruins.

3. Catch 300 Rare fish Fish anywhere in the Treasure Room area. This is the longest step.

4. Catch 3 Mythic fish at Sophist's Statue The statue is an underwater alcove. Use high-luck bait.

5. Catch 1 Secret fish Any secret fish counts. The Void Fish spawns in Ancient Jungle with 1 in 750K odds.

6. Return to the quest NPC Claim your Element Rod.

The 300 rare fish requirement is brutal. I spent 6 hours on that step alone. Use Dark Matter Bait for the XP bonus while grinding.

How to Get the Ghostfinn Rod

The Ghostfinn Rod has 610% luck and is required for catching most secret fish. It comes from the Deep Sea Quest at Lost Isle.

Prerequisites:

• Diving Gear (750K coins from Fisherman Utility Store)
• Angler Rod or better recommended
• Dark Matter Bait minimum

Quest Steps:

1. Buy Diving Gear 750K coins from the Fisherman Utility Store on any island.

2. Travel to Lost Isle Requires a boat. Buy one from Stingray Shores dock.

3. Dive underwater Equip diving gear and enter the water at Lost Isle.

4. Find the Sisyphus Statue It's in an underwater structure. The quest NPC is here.

5. Catch 100 Rare fish Fish in the underwater areas around Lost Isle.

6. Catch 50 Epic fish Same location. Epic fish spawn less frequently.

7. Catch 10 Mythic fish This takes the longest. Use Aether Bait.

8. Catch 1 Secret fish The Ghost Shark spawns near the Sisyphus Statue with 1 in 500K odds.

9. Return to Sisyphus Statue Claim your Ghostfinn Rod.

The secret fish requirement is the hardest part. I spent 4 hours fishing for the Ghost Shark. Stack all your luck bonuses.

How to Get Aetherion Bait

Aetherion Bait is the best bait in the game (+280% luck, +25% mutation, +25% shiny). It comes from the Ghastly Pirate questline on Pirate Cove.

Prerequisites:

• Advanced Diving Gear (1M coins from Pirate Cove)
• Ghostfinn Rod recommended
• Completed Dead Skeleton quest

Quest Steps:

1. Complete the Dead Skeleton quest first Find 4 letters hidden in chests around Pirate Cove.

2. Talk to the Ghastly Pirate He's in the underwater maze beneath Pirate Cove.

3. Catch specific rare fish The quest requires catching fish from Crystal Depths.

4. Find hidden items Several items are scattered around Pirate Cove and Crystal Depths.

5. Defeat the Ghastly Pirate A minigame boss fight.

6. Claim Aetherion Bait Permanent unlock, free to use forever.

How to Get the Pickaxe

The Pickaxe lets you mine resources on Pirate Cove. It comes from the Dead Skeleton quest.

Quest Steps:

1. Go to Pirate Cove Requires a boat.

2. Buy Advanced Diving Gear 1M coins from the dock area.

3. Find the Dead Skeleton He's in the underwater maze.

4. Collect 4 letters Hidden in chests around the island. Chests spawn randomly.

5. Return to Dead Skeleton Claim your Pickaxe.

The letter hunt is tedious. Chests respawn every few minutes, so keep checking the same spots.

How to Get the Free Lava Rod

The Lava Rod is free from the Lava Fisherman NPC at Kohana Volcano. No quest required.

1. Travel to Kohana Volcano
2. Find the Lava Fisherman near the volcano entrance
3. Talk to him
4. Receive free Lava Rod

This takes 5 minutes and gives you a rod with 100kg weight capacity. Do this immediately when you reach Kohana.

Quest Completion Order

Optimal order for new players:

1. Lava Rod (free, instant)
2. Deep Sea Quest (Ghostfinn Rod)
3. Dead Skeleton Quest (Pickaxe)
4. Ghastly Pirate Quest (Aetherion Bait)
5. Elemental Quest (Element Rod)

Don't attempt the Elemental Quest without Ghostfinn Rod. The secret fish requirement is nearly impossible with weaker rods.

Quest Tips

For rare fish requirements Use Dark Matter Bait. The +160% luck makes rare fish spawn consistently.

For mythic fish requirements Use Aether Bait and fish during Mythic Boost events.

For secret fish requirements Stack every luck bonus possible. Leprechaun II enchant + Aether Bait + Luck Potions.

For letter/item hunts Check every chest and hidden spot. Items respawn, so revisit areas.

Common Quest Mistakes

Attempting Elemental Quest too early You need Ghostfinn Rod for the secret fish requirement.

Skipping the free Lava Rod It's free and takes 5 minutes. Don't miss it.

Not buying Diving Gear Both major quests require underwater access. Buy it early.

Rushing secret fish Secret fish take hours of grinding. Be patient and use optimal gear.
