How Upgrade Trees Work

Advanced Upgrade Tree (Rebirth 10+)
At rebirth 10, advanced upgrades become available. You'll also start earning Souls more consistently at this point, which provide additional permanent bonuses.

Spreading Too Thin
Buying a little of everything is inefficient. Focus on one path first, then branch out.
Ignoring Multipliers
Flat bonuses (+100 Faith) fall off. Percentage bonuses (+10% Faith) scale forever. Prioritize percentages.
Skipping Efficiency
Cost reduction doesn't feel impactful, but it compounds. A 30% cost reduction means 30% more upgrades per run.
Not Resetting
