Bakso Malang Anomalies Guide

Press Q for Third Eye to spot anomalies, but use quick 1-2 second taps only. Holding it fills the green meter and attracts spirits. Check rules every shift because they change. Refuse any customer with visual tells like wrong eye count, unusual skin colors, floating, or missing body parts. The Real Bakso Malang box anomaly will decapitate you if you get too close.

I've put 25+ hours into Bakso Malang Anomalies, got all 29 endings including the Stall Keeper's Legacy (which gives a permanent buff), and died to that creepy Red Dress Customer more times than I'd like to admit. The Third Eye mechanic changes everything compared to other anomaly games like Scary Shawarma Kiosk.

What is Bakso Malang Anomalies?

You run a late-night Bakso noodle stall in Malang, Indonesia. Customers come, you serve them hot noodles, and everything seems normal. Until it isn't.

Some customers are anomalies - supernatural entities disguised as humans. Serve them and bad things happen. Your job is to spot the fakes using the Third Eye ability (press Q) and refuse service. But here's the twist: overusing Third Eye attracts supernatural attention.

Current Stats (January 2026):

  • 60M+ visits
  • 60+ unique anomaly encounters
  • 29 total endings (17 Normal + 7 Food Delivery + 3 Secret + 2 Special)
  • Updates almost daily
  • Two game modes: Normal and Food Delivery Rider (OJOL)

Third Eye Mechanics

This is the core mechanic that separates Bakso Malang from other anomaly games. Understanding it is the difference between a clean shift and the Army of Jinns ending.

How It Works

Press Q to activate Third Eye. It reveals hidden details about customers - anomalies show their true forms with ghostly figures, distorted features, or supernatural tells.

The green meter on your screen tracks supernatural exposure. Every time you use Third Eye, it fills slightly. Encounter anomalies? Fills more. Let it max out and you're crossing into the spirit world.

Safe Usage

  • Quick taps under 2 seconds
  • Check suspicious customers only
  • Release immediately after confirming
  • Watch the meter - if it's rising, stop

Dangerous Usage

  • Holding Q for 5+ seconds
  • Constant use throughout shift
  • Ignoring the green meter
  • Combining overuse with anomaly encounters

I held Q for 10 seconds once just to see what would happen. Green meter spiked. Got the Army of Jinns ending. Don't be me. For the full breakdown, check our Third Eye guide.

How to Spot Anomalies

The game has 60+ unique anomalies. Some are obvious, some require Third Eye. Here's the quick reference:

Instant Refusal (No Third Eye Needed)

  • Shadow figures or completely black entities
  • Faceless customers (no eyes, nose, mouth)
  • Missing major body parts
  • Floating or defying physics
  • Wrong number of limbs (3+ arms/legs)
  • Neon or unnatural skin colors

Third Eye Required

  • Perfect mimics (99% normal appearance)
  • Possessed customers (normal outside, anomalous inside)
  • Suspicious behavior but normal looks
  • Woman in hijab (appears human, Third Eye reveals benign ghost)

Rule-Based Decisions

  • Inspectors (check if shift rules mention them)
  • Children and elderly (time-restricted by rules)
  • Groups (rules may prohibit or allow)

For the complete 60+ anomaly list with detection tips, see our all anomalies guide.

The Rules

Every shift has rules posted in your stall. Follow them or face consequences.

Critical: Rules change between shifts. Always check at the start of each run. I got terminated twice because I forgot the rules updated.

Common rule types:

  • "Never serve customers who [specific trait]"
  • "Always [action] before serving"
  • "If you see [event], immediately [response]"
  • "Close the stall if [condition]"

Breaking critical rules (the ones that say NEVER) usually means instant termination or worse.

Serving Customers

The gameplay loop:

  1. Customer approaches your stall
  2. Check for visual anomalies first
  3. Use Third Eye if suspicious (quick tap only)
  4. If normal: prepare and serve Bakso noodles
  5. If anomaly: refuse service or follow specific handling rules
  6. Repeat until shift ends or something goes wrong

Preparing Orders

  1. Place bowl
  2. Add noodles
  3. Add meatballs
  4. Add tofu
  5. Add vegetables
  6. Add sauces
  7. Package the order

Serve hot noodles. Cold noodles = unhappy customers = worse ending.

Night-Specific Threats

The game has special anomalies that appear on specific nights with precise timing:

Night 1

Red Dress Customer (Critical - 2:00 AM onwards)

  • Dark red dress, blackened hands, static voice
  • Orders "Unlimited Meatballs"
  • Reject her black banknotes, avoid eye contact
  • 2 violations = immediate elimination

Bell Screech (High - Random after 1:00 AM)

  • Stall bell emits 10 seconds of shrill static
  • Turn off stall lights for 30 seconds
  • Avoid all interactions during this period

Night 2

Red Dress + Bell Screech Combo (Critical - 1:00 AM onwards)

  • Red Dress appears right after bell screech
  • Turn off lights first, then follow Red Dress rules

Faceless Customer (High - After 2:00 AM)

  • Featureless head, stiff movement, clacking joints
  • Say "Ingredients are sold out"
  • Back slowly to counter (don't run)

Night 3

Meatball Shadow + Duplicate Mutation (Critical - 4:00 AM fixed)

  • 2m-tall shadow drags rotten giant meatball
  • Duplicate customer turns into multi-armed anomaly
  • Hide in storage room, lock door, ignore until dawn
  • Getting caught = immediate elimination

All 29 Endings

The game now has 29 total endings across two modes:

Mode Endings
Normal Mode 17 endings
Food Delivery Rider (OJOL) 7 endings
Secret 3 endings
Special 2 endings

Main Endings Include:

  • Clean Shift - Zero mistakes
  • Abnormal Shift - Survived with errors
  • I'm a Millionaire! - Maximized earnings
  • Bad Shift / Termination - Too many anomalies served
  • Army of Jinns - Overused Third Eye
  • True Nightmare - Everything went wrong

Secret Endings:

  • Jin World - Crossed into spirit dimension
  • I Love Baby - Found specific NPC
  • Red Cart - Found rare bloody cart

For detailed methods to unlock each ending, check our complete endings guide.

Food Delivery Rider Mode (OJOL)

The newer game mode where you deliver Bakso on a motorcycle. Different anomalies, different rules, 7 unique endings.

Key differences from Normal Mode:

  • You're mobile, not stationary
  • Anomalies appear on the road and at delivery locations
  • Time pressure from delivery deadlines
  • Different Third Eye mechanics while driving

Beginner Strategy

Your first few runs will be rough. Here's how to survive:

Runs 1-3: Focus on learning anomaly types. Don't stress about clean endings. Use Third Eye freely to understand what it reveals.

Runs 4-6: Start managing the green meter. Use Third Eye sparingly. Go for Abnormal Shift ending.

Runs 7+: Attempt a clean shift. You know the anomalies now. Minimize Third Eye, maximize accuracy.

The game rewards pattern recognition. After enough runs, you'll spot most anomalies without Third Eye at all.

Common Mistakes

Holding Third Eye too long. Quick taps only. The meter fills fast.

Ignoring the rules. They change. Check every shift.

Serving suspicious customers anyway. When in doubt, refuse. The penalty for refusing a real customer is less than serving an anomaly.

Not checking the clock. Some anomalies only appear at certain times. Red Dress Customer at 2:00 AM, Meatball Shadow at 4:00 AM.

Panicking during events. Special events happen. Stay calm, follow the rules, don't spam Third Eye.

Running from Faceless Customer. Back away slowly. Running triggers an attack.

Pro Tips

Sound is crucial. Play with headphones. Footsteps, voice tone, and ambient sounds give away anomalies before you see them.

Memorize the stall layout. Know where the storage room is. Know where the back door is. You'll need escape routes.

The Inspector is real. Around 2:00 AM, an empty car pulls up. Stop work, exit through back door, stand outside, don't look back. Looking = instant death.

Solo is scarier but easier. Multiplayer is chaotic and funny, but solo lets you focus on detection.

Indonesian Folklore Entities

The game features creatures from Indonesian mythology:

Entity Type Handling
Pocong Shrouded ghost Don't serve, hide
Kuntilanak Female ghost Specific rules apply
Sundel Bolong Ghostly entity Hide immediately
Kuyang Flying head with entrails Take cover, sit down
Nenek Gendong Grandmother ghost with baby Serve but don't stare
Banaspati Fire demon Duck for cover

These add authentic Indonesian horror elements that make Bakso Malang unique.
